Event and Sales Intern

The Event and Sales Internship Program is three months and upon completion there are opportunities to apply to full time positions in the Sales Department (if available). Responsibilities include joining sales managers on tours, tastings, detail appointments and assisting with 'day of event' responsibilities. Additional duties would include office administrative tasks and front desk coverage. Applicant requirements include:

  • Experience in the Cincinnati wedding/hospitality industry preferred but not required
  • Willing to work nights and weekends, 20+/- hours/week 
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve problems
  • Extremely detailed oriented

Sales Manager (full time)

The Sales Manager is responsible for seeking out new business and managing incoming leads for events at The Phoenix. This individual also works closely with the client to detail each event booked. Applicant requirements include:

  • Completion of The Event and Sales Internship Program 
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Highly self- motivated individual with a passion to succeed
  • 70% of time spent selling and booking business, 30% of time spent detailing events 

Sous Chef (part time)

The Sous Chef assists the the Executive Chef in food preparation and back-of-the-house duties as needed. Applicants for this part-time position must:

  • Have previous sous chef or kitchen manager experience
  • Must be very hospitable
  • Be able and willing to float from catering to assisting with restaurant business
  • Be well groomed and present themselves well at all times
  • Be willing to work late nights, weekends and/or holidays

Banquet Captain (part time)

The Banquet Captain serves as a lead for food service during private events at The Phoenix. This position is part-time, with competitive hourly wages. Applicants for this position must:

  • Have 2-3 years banquet/catering experience, preferably in a supervisor/management position
  • Be able to supervise banquet staff in the completion of assigned functions and set-up, as well as oversee the service and breakdown of events in a safe and timely manner.
